Platts Lane Fishery
One of Lancashires hidden secrets Platts Lane is somewhere we would encourage all Anglers to go and try out. Its not just the fish to be seen here, but other wildlife will surround you including birds, owls and kestrels which are seen regularly in the area. Even if you are planning on walking and exploring the area then there are a number of public footpaths connected to the local countryside for you to try out.
Family fishing is also heavily promoted at Platts Lane due to its scenic nature and friendly atmosphere. In fact its Monet garden was designed by a local schoolgirl and has a picnic area, wildlife park and benches to soak in the scenery. The main lake is well stocked as well with a number of fishing species to keep anglers busy for as long as they are there for.
In terms of getting there the fishery is situated north of Ormskirk near Platts Lane which is located just off the A59 from Liverpool to Preston on the way to Burscough. Aproximatly 35 minuets drive from our Liverpool Fishing Store
