Located just east of Manchester, over an hour away from our Liverpool store is Arnfield Fly Fishery. It is set in a picturesque setting, surrounded by the scenic Peak District countryside and some of the best still water and fly fishing in the country. 

 

The facilities at Arnfield have been built to accommodate people fly fishing and any guests that they may wish to bring along. Corporate group days out are also catered for so you can have a great day out fishing with your friends and colleagues. This makes it a great place to consider if you are not wanting to go on your own.   

In terms of what you can expect to catch at the fishery there is brown trout which goes up to 20lb in weight which are of very high quality. When it comes to fly fishing the area used for that covers 40 acres so it is not too big or too daunting to get out and fish on. It is a great place to get the basics of fly fishing right but also if you are experienced in this discipline you can brush up on your techniques. 

 

In terms of the other facilities that are on offer at Arnfield fly fishery there is a stone built lodge. It is made from peak district stone. It is comfortable and warm and has everything you need to make that day out fishing even better. Plus when it is winter there is a log burner which will keep you nice and warm.

In addition to this there is a decked veranda which extends out onto the water. There are plenty of tables and chairs which can accommodate everyone so you can enjoy the view of the water after a long day down by the bank. All of this adds to the day out you will have fishing making it even more of an attractive place to go and fish at, particularly if you are local to us and are travelling to get there.
