Hokkais are a superb all rounder which is possibly the most versatile lure available.
This 6/0 version is perfect on the boat where they are deadly for pollack, cod and a wide variety of other species. The addition of bait can at times see a huge increase in catches and for some reason baited hokkais will often out fish both unbaited lures and plain bait by a huge margin. A good tactic is to drop the lures down to the sea bed and then jig them so that the weight just taps on the bottom. String of 3 Lures tied on 6/0 hooks to 40lb branch line and 60lb main line
