Located just 4 miles outside of York this fishery offers a great day out angling for all visitors! It is a bit of a drive from our Liverpool store so we would definitely recommend making a day of a trip up to there.
This North Yorkshire fishing complex has great day ticket lakes along with a specimen carp lake offering a wide variety of fishing for anglers of all abilities. The mature lakes are well stocked with large specimen common carp, mirror carp and ghost carp. Other species include tench, chub, rudd and roach.
At this fishery there are 4 different waters that you can fish on. One of them is the old lake. It will be well stocked in the winter months but even now there are a lot of fish to catch including elusive carp. In addition to this there is Horseshoe lake. As mentioned earlier there is plenty of species here with carp going up to 20lb, there is something for everyone in this lake. Along with these two lakes there is also M lake and Q lake.
As mentioned this fisher is quite a drive from where we are based in Liverpool. If you wanted to stay overnight there is a new 4-acre campsite set along mature oak trees which is perfect to help you to explore York and the surrounding areas. Other good facilities here include disabled toilet facilities and pegs catered for people with disabilities. If you are night fishing here then there are showers you can use.
