How fishing with your friends can make you a better Angler

How fishing with your friends can make you a better Angler

Catfish – Taskers Angling

Fishing is a learning experience. Each time you take to the water you are likely to learn something new to improve your game, whether that be a new knot or rig that helps you to get a big catch. There is a wealth of knowledge available online and reading up will help, however there is nothing better than learning in a practical setting with friends. At Taskers Angling we thought it would be a good idea to outline why fishing with friends can help improve you as an Angler.

1. You Will Learn From There Mistakes

While you may have a laugh with your mates about the mistakes they make whilst angling there is knowledge to be gained in this. Naturally you will remember these funny moments and hopefully they will teach you what to do, and more importantly, what not to do. Don't get us wrong you are likely to make mistakes as well, we all do and your friends will learn of yours but in time these blunders will turn into valuable fishing skills.

2. Motivation

Fishing with friends is bound to motivate you. They will help to keep you focused and you are likely to fish longer with someone else instead of if you were on your own. Things can also be competitive as well which is good in terms of wanting to make you fish better. All in all though the company when by the water should help to keep you focused and motivated for longer.

3. Education

This could be particularly relevant if the person you are fishing with has more experience by the water than you.. This person could even become your fishing guide to an extent and can be a very valuable source of information and can fast track your fishing skills development. If you find yourself fishing with a friend who has more experience than you then be a sponge and soak up the information that they have. Applying these techniques should make you a better Angler.

4. It Will Be Fun

Sounds very simple but in our opinion this is what matters the most. When you go out Angling with a friend first and foremost it is to have a good time with them. It can help to take off any pressure that you put on yourself to catch and will allow you to enjoy your time next to the water. Another bonus is that you will have someone there to take that great photo of you when you land that big catch.

We would love to see as many of you as possible out fishing with your friends and making great memories as it can prove a very rewarding experience.
